He seems harmless with his teasing manner and Hollywood pretty-boy looks, but she can sense a predatory air of danger about him. Instead of warning her away, however, she finds herself irresistibly drawn to him, and agrees to go with him on a rescue mission to find their missing siblings.
Although Nikulas aches to keep Emma with him always, a ghost from the past won’t let him. And he soon finds out that she her own demons to fight. While suitors swirl around her, none capture her heart until Barrett Maddox, Duke of Manchester, saves her from a band of thieves. But the one man she wants is the only one she cannot have.

Taming a Duke's Wild Rose
Since the death of her mother, Lady Rose Wentworth has dreamed of a hero. A knight or soldier who sweeps her off her feet and heals the scars she hides within. These fantasies cloud her judgement when it comes to a mans true nature and every suitor she pines for proves to be less than honorable. But Rose is convinced she has finally found a true hero in the soldier, Carl Lundberg.
Fearing for Roses future, her father arranges a match with the scarred duke. The more Rose is entangled in the web of love and marriage the more she questions which man has the true heart and who can unlock hers.
Taming a Laird's Wild Lady

To further the families fortune, he would see her married to a Scottish lord. Isla fears this will be the end of the life she treasures above all else.
Gavin Campbell will never marry again. His past has taught him well, his first wifes spending has him teetering on the edge of financial ruin. Can Islas wild ways tame this lairds heart?

Who was your favorite Character: Nate Marcel. He was straight forward about his feelings and honest.
How did you feel after reading it: I was a little put off by the way Nate acted like he was still in the FBI but wasn’t. There were many things he did that could have gotten him into a lot of trouble. If he was going to act like that, why not just make him FBI?

What Are You Afraid Of? by Alexandra Ivy

Title: What are you afraid of?
Author: Alexandra Ivy
Date Read: Jan 2020
Number of Pages: 352
Why did you read it: It was the second in a series that the first one was pretty good. The Agency 02
What was it about: SHE’S LEARNED ALL ABOUT KILLERS
They aren’t the kind of women anyone misses. Truck-stop hookers, runaways . . . no one would even notice they’d disappeared if the killer didn’t photograph their lifeless bodies, posed in the back of a semi-trailer. Exactly like the infamous Trucker murders. But this isn’t just a copycat. It’s a vendetta.
NOW HE’LL TEACH HER
Carmen Jacobs interviewed the world’s most terrifying serial killers for her bestselling book, The Heart of a Predator. The police might not believe her, but she knows there’s a monster out there, paying homage to other murderers. The only person who can predict where he’ll strike next is Griffin Archer—a reclusive software millionaire with ample reason not to help her.
HOW TO DIE . . .
Carmen has charmed her way past Griffin’s defenses before. He didn’t intend to let it happen again. But with a psycho sending her trophies of his kills, he has no choice but to get involved. The clues point to a killer obsessed with Carmen—someone who knows her work, her past, her secrets. Someone who won’t be satisfied until he has made all her deepest fears come true . . .
Who was your favorite Character: Griff Archer. He was an interesting character though I feel the book somewhat lacked in character development.
How did you feel after reading it: It was a good read and kept me reading but at the end I felt a little cheated. It felt rushed and the chemistry between the two main characters wasn’t there for me.

Pretend You're Safe by Alexandra Ivy

Title: Pretend you’re safe
Author: Alexandra Ivy
Date Read: Jan 2020
Number of Pages: 352
Why did you read it: Got it from kindle unlimited and it looked interesting. Agency 01
What was it about: HE SEES YOU
First came the floods. Then came the bodies. The victims strangled, then buried along the shores of the Mississippi have finally been unearthed, years after they disappeared. He remembers every satisfying kill . . . each woman s terror and agony. But there s only one he truly wanted. And fate has brought her within reach again . . .
HE KNOWS YOU
Jaci Patterson was sixteen when she found the first golden locket on her porch. Inside were a few strands of hair wrapped around a scrap of bloodstained ribbon. Though the gifts kept arriving, no one believed her hunch that a serial killer was at work. Now Jaci has returned home . . . and the nightmare is starting once more.
AND HE LL NEVER LET YOU GO
Back then, Rylan Cooper was an arrogant deputy sheriff convinced that Jaci was just an attention seeking teen. It was a fatal mistake. There s a murderer in their midst, someone determined to settle old scores and keep playing a twisted game. And it won t end until Jaci is his forever . . .
Who was your favorite Character: Rylan Cooper. He was a well rounded character who didn’t let the past dictate his current actions. He knew enough that he was wrong in the past and tried to make up for his mistakes and didn’t hide from his feelings.
How did you feel after reading it: I liked the book. After reading Kay Hooper with her psychic series and Heather Graham with her ghost series, I kept expecting something supernatural to happen but it didn’t. It kept me interested and invested in the characters. I enjoyed how it would lead you towards one suspect then suddenly there would be a little thing that showed that character wasn't the killer.  I liked the series enough that I bought the second book to read.
