She doesn’t dare ask what else could go wrong…
Who was your favorite Character: There were too many to choose. But the one who stood out the most to me was Keira Danby in After midnight.
How did you feel after reading it: It was cute, they were too short but I am interested in reading more books about Haven Harbor. I really like that different authors are writing about the same small town.

Title: 1001 Dark Nights Bundle 01
Author: Shayla Black, Heather Graham, Liliana Hart, Tina Folsom
Date Read: Jan 2020
Number of Pages: 392
Why did you read it: It was the first four book in the 1001 dark nights bundle
What was it about: FOREVER WICKED: A Wicked Lovers Novella by Shayla Black: Billionaire Jason Denning and Gia Angelotti had nothing in common but a desperate passion... Until a second chance proved that forever could be theirs.
CRIMSON TWILIGHT: A Krewe of Hunters Novella by Heather Graham: Jane Everett and Sloan Trent must find the truth behind a murder—and the secrets of the living and the dead—before they find themselves bound for eternity in the darkness of a historical wrong and their own brutal deaths.
CAPTURED IN SURRENDER: A MacKenzie Family Novella by Liliana Hart: Bounty Hunter Naya Blade never thought she’d step foot in Surrender, Montana, again. Especially since there’s a warrant out for her arrest. But when Deputy Lane Greyson puts his wits—and cuffs—to good use, can he convince her that true love really does exist?
SILENT BITE: A Scanguards Wedding (A Scanguards Vampire Novella) by Tina Folsom: Newbie vampire Oliver Ralston and Ursula Tseng are finally tying the knot. But in the midst of all the chaos, a stalker lurks and threatens to tear them apart, causing Oliver to risk everything to marry the woman he loves.
Who was your favorite Character: Oliver Ralston. He was the tall dark and brooding vampire but at the same time, terrified of his soon to be mother in law and wanted to make everything perfect for Ursula
How did you feel after reading it: Some of the books were harder to read because it really wasn’t my type of book but the series seems neat and I look forward to reading more of it.

Author: Matty Dalrymple
Date Read: Jan 2020
Number of Pages: 412
Why did you read it: It looked good and was on sale. Lizzy Ballard 01
What was it about: She was born with an extraordinary ability …… and while she tries to hide it, others seek to control it. Who will win this deadly zero-sum game?
Rock breaks scissors. Scissors cut paper. Paper covers rock. The rules are simple—except when it's people's lives at stake.

Way Of The Shadows by Cynthia Eden
Title 04: Way of the Shadows
Author: Cynthia Eden
Date Read: Jan 2020
Number of Pages: 288
Why did you read it: It was on the kindle and I like other books by the author. Shadow Agents 08
What was it about: The woman who doesn't remember is the one he can't forget in Cynthia Eden's latest Shadow Agents: Guts and Glory book.
Fifteen years ago, Noelle Evers was kidnapped. Two days later, her abductor was dead, leaving her with no memory of what happened. Now an FBI profiler, she uses her past trauma to get inside the minds of killers. But she can't read her new partner. EOD agent Thomas Anthony is controlled. Dangerous. And hauntingly familiar.
Thomas has been covertly watching Noelle's back. He wanted to tell her the truth, but couldn't blow his cover. Their latest mission just revealed a link to her past. With desire ramping up between them - and a predator hunting Noelle - it's time for Thomas to step out of the shadows. Or lose his second chance to save the woman he loves.
Who was your favorite Character: Thomas Anthony. He was a good character and it was nice to read about a man who was strong and skilled but yet still able to admit his feelings and how much he needed Noelle in his life.
How did you feel after reading it: I didn’t know this was a series until further into the book. It was a great stand alone novel and I appreciated knowing so much. I was surprised to find out that it was the 8th book in a series. I am tempted to read more of the series.

You Will Suffer by Alexandra Ivy
Title: You Will Suffer
Author: Alexandra Ivy
Date Read: Jan 2020
Number of Pages: 368
Why did you read it: It was free on the kindle and part of a continuing series I’m reading. The Agency 03
What was it about: Every small town has a secret...and this one is worth killing for. The rolling fields outside Curry, Oklahoma, are a beautiful spot to ramble on an early spring day...and a lonely place to die. Among the prairie grass and wildflowers, a killer kneels beside a curled-up figure, plunging a syringe beneath skin to deliver the fatal dose. And as the victim's last breath mingles with the air, it sends a warning out to the world: this is just the beginning. Rejecting her judge father's prestigious connections, Ellie Guthrie opened her own law firm in Curry. But something strange is going on. Ellie's tires are slashed. Dead rats are dumped on her patio. Her neighbour, former FBI agent Nate Marcel, insists on watching out for her. And then bodies begin turning up - supposed overdoses that Nate suspects are something much more sinister. There's a killer in town, toying with her, drawing both Ellie and Nate into a web of murder and vengeance. To find answers, she'll have to unearth this small community's dark and twisted past...before it's her turn to die. Look for more page-turning suspense from Alexandra Ivy with Pretend You're Safe and What Are You Afraid Of?, out now.
Who was your favorite Character: Nate Marcel. He was straight forward about his feelings and honest.
How did you feel after reading it: I was a little put off by the way Nate acted like he was still in the FBI but wasn’t. There were many things he did that could have gotten him into a lot of trouble. If he was going to act like that, why not just make him FBI?

What Are You Afraid Of? by Alexandra Ivy
Title: What are you afraid of?
Author: Alexandra Ivy
Date Read: Jan 2020
Number of Pages: 352
Why did you read it: It was the second in a series that the first one was pretty good. The Agency 02
What was it about: SHE’S LEARNED ALL ABOUT KILLERS
They aren’t the kind of women anyone misses. Truck-stop hookers, runaways . . . no one would even notice they’d disappeared if the killer didn’t photograph their lifeless bodies, posed in the back of a semi-trailer. Exactly like the infamous Trucker murders. But this isn’t just a copycat. It’s a vendetta.
NOW HE’LL TEACH HER
Carmen Jacobs interviewed the world’s most terrifying serial killers for her bestselling book, The Heart of a Predator. The police might not believe her, but she knows there’s a monster out there, paying homage to other murderers. The only person who can predict where he’ll strike next is Griffin Archer—a reclusive software millionaire with ample reason not to help her.
HOW TO DIE . . .
Carmen has charmed her way past Griffin’s defenses before. He didn’t intend to let it happen again. But with a psycho sending her trophies of his kills, he has no choice but to get involved. The clues point to a killer obsessed with Carmen—someone who knows her work, her past, her secrets. Someone who won’t be satisfied until he has made all her deepest fears come true . . .
Who was your favorite Character: Griff Archer. He was an interesting character though I feel the book somewhat lacked in character development.
How did you feel after reading it: It was a good read and kept me reading but at the end I felt a little cheated. It felt rushed and the chemistry between the two main characters wasn’t there for me.

Pretend You're Safe by Alexandra Ivy
Title: Pretend you’re safe
Author: Alexandra Ivy
Date Read: Jan 2020
Number of Pages: 352
Why did you read it: Got it from kindle unlimited and it looked interesting. Agency 01
What was it about: HE SEES YOU
First came the floods. Then came the bodies. The victims strangled, then buried along the shores of the Mississippi have finally been unearthed, years after they disappeared. He remembers every satisfying kill . . . each woman s terror and agony. But there s only one he truly wanted. And fate has brought her within reach again . . .
HE KNOWS YOU
Jaci Patterson was sixteen when she found the first golden locket on her porch. Inside were a few strands of hair wrapped around a scrap of bloodstained ribbon. Though the gifts kept arriving, no one believed her hunch that a serial killer was at work. Now Jaci has returned home . . . and the nightmare is starting once more.
AND HE LL NEVER LET YOU GO
Back then, Rylan Cooper was an arrogant deputy sheriff convinced that Jaci was just an attention seeking teen. It was a fatal mistake. There s a murderer in their midst, someone determined to settle old scores and keep playing a twisted game. And it won t end until Jaci is his forever . . .
Who was your favorite Character: Rylan Cooper. He was a well rounded character who didn’t let the past dictate his current actions. He knew enough that he was wrong in the past and tried to make up for his mistakes and didn’t hide from his feelings.
How did you feel after reading it: I liked the book. After reading Kay Hooper with her psychic series and Heather Graham with her ghost series, I kept expecting something supernatural to happen but it didn’t. It kept me interested and invested in the characters. I enjoyed how it would lead you towards one suspect then suddenly there would be a little thing that showed that character wasn't the killer. I liked the series enough that I bought the second book to read.
